I currently tutor HADM 326 and HADM 336 with Athabasca University. My experience with the health administration program builds upon and complements my Master of Arts degree in Anthropology from Carleton University and my work with other universities (Dalhousie, UNBF, ULaval, Carleton, UofC and AU), colleges and non-profit organizations, throughout Canada. My undergraduate degree is a double honours in cultural/medical anthropology with a focus on Aboriginal studies, medical-anthropology and religion. I have a keen interest in mentoring people and in my role as a tutor at AU, I have gained valuable experience doing this, as well as coaching students to improve their critical thinking, writing, and research skills. I am presently working towards finishing my doctorate degree. I work full-time as a Senior Evaluations Manager at a non-profit (second-stage shelter), that helps women and children overcome issues concerned with domestic abuse. My job entails understanding relevant legislation and policy regulations, expertise in data-bases, information management, research, and quality assurance in the private and non-profit sector.
