Dr. Wonita Janzen is an individualized study tutor for HADM 235, 399 and 499 in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Wonita holds a PhD in Rehabilitation Science, an MSc in Human Ecology and a BSc in Speech Pathology & Audiology from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada.
With a multi-disciplinary background, Wonita's research interests cover a wide variety of health topics, including aging and rehabilitation, family caregiving, degenerative and chronic diseases, palliative care, health services, scale and survey design, research methods and program evaluation. For more than two decades, Wonita worked as a research consultant with the Rehabilitation Research Centre, University of Alberta, providing research and statistical consultation to university, government and community organizations. She has extensive experience in research methodology and data analysis.
A proponent of life-long learning and critical thinking, Wonita incorporates these concepts into her courses and encourages students to seek and evaluate information. Wonita enjoys working with students and encouraging them to expand their learning.
